2. Opened products labeled: Required opened dates and beyond-use dates match the manufacturer, pharmacy label, and facility procedure; expired products are removed through the approved process.

3. No unattended medications: Medication cups and prepared doses remain under authorized control unless a resident-specific self-administration plan permits otherwise.

4. Sharps container usable: The container is secure, accessible, and below its marked fill line; replace it using facility procedure when indicated.

5. Clean workflow maintained: Cart surface and reusable equipment follow the facility cleaning procedure, and clean supplies are separated from contaminated items.

6. Controlled-substance count reconciled: Required records match the physical inventory. Stop and resolve any discrepancy immediately through the facility escalation process.

7. Screen and paper privacy protected: Lock the workstation when stepping away and secure MARs, report sheets, labels, and discarded resident information.

8. Temperature-sensitive storage checked: Required refrigerator or storage-temperature logs are current, readings are in range, and excursions are escalated per policy.
